GLORCS Final Live From FTR!!!!
That's right folks, this is what it has been all about and the final race of the season here!!
We will be updating you over the course of the weekend. Practice went well today and there is a pretty good crowd here already trying to get that extra bit of track time to give them the advantage. Things are winding down and the lights are on with many people still at the track hard at work. Stay tuned as I will update you over the weekend Last edited by ChickenMan; 09-30-2007 at 10:57 AM. With round one out of the way in 2 hours and 40 min we are into round 2. The weather is beautiful downhere and the shorts and t-shirts are out in full force......summer ain't over yet!!
Right now the TQ's are as follows Truggy - Cory Pulliam 8/5:01.013 with a fastest last lap of 36.352 MT - Ron Prinzen 7/5:19.848 with a fast lap of 43.31 Buggy - Dave Henry 9/5:34.505 with a fast lap of 34.984 We have had a few people with rough starts today, Martin Petre, MT favorite, had a bad start when he fell prey to mechanical problems in the first round and Dan Black, the local favorite also having problems with gremlins in the works. The track has been holding up great and at this moment the 3rd heat of the second round is underway. The FTR guys are gonna try for four rounds today with a short evening break for a 100 lap oval demo after the thrid round. It looks like we are gonna be howlin at the moon tonight.... I'll upload some pics later today shortly after I start taking some!!......don't tell Todd A special shout out to Gump who ran into the worst of luck yesterday, sorry to hear about what happened. I hope you can get it worked out and get down here for the mains.... Updates to follow..... Updates to follow!! |

In my years of racing....I know they don't number larlgely, but in my 3 years in GLORCS I have never.....and I mean NEVER have I had a Race director come to me with 13 heats of racers and tell me that he is running too far ahead of schedule....We are on the last heat of the 2nd round and Jason has told me they are gonna break for an hour for open practice then we will start the third round which we anticipate will be done by 730pm.... the fourth qual will start at 830 and run under the lights till whenever.....
I will have an update shortly with TQ's and yes Sherry I will go and rip the sheets down list the top 10 in each class..... |

The second round is done and now the track is open for practice till 4:00pm where will start the 3rd of 4 rounds of quals. The track is holding up great and dispite the sunny and warm weather we have not had to water yet......what a great layout!!
The FTR crew has once agin goneto the limit and is hosting in my opinion one of the smoothest run races I have ever seen. It seems that everyone is bringing their "A" game for the second round and the TQ's are getting a real run for theirmoney TQ's MT - Martin Petre - 8/5:40.320 Buggy - Dave Henry - 9/5:34.505 Truggy - Cory Pulliam - 8/5:01 Top 10 MT (As of Round 2) Martin Petre Ron Prinzen Kyle Inman Anthony Muscato Craig Brister Carson Yee Marc Maukonen Unknown G-Man Tim Haslinger Truggy Cory Pulliam Carl Blazer Gareth Houben Dave Henry Mike Burr Joe Parent Andrew Philippe Rick Endler Rob Patch Buggy Dave Henry Ben Wheeler Matt Devries Gareth Houben Brian Manchester Joe Parent Andrew Phillipe Rick Endler Mike Burr Rob Patch There you have it...... it's not over yet and I have no doubt the third and fourth rounds are gonna see things go to a new level.... Stay tuned.... |
