Round four is well underway right now under the lights. The oval demo was highly entertaining but now we are back to business. The line up for TQ is unchanged, Dave Henry has 1/8 scale all locked up with no real challenge to his qualifying position. Abiye Birku has really brought it on strong in Truggy and even though Cory still has the TQ Abiye is breathing down his neck. MT has seen Anthony Muscato move into second place behind Martin Petre who has also set a commanding lead.... your top ten are as follows;

MT (As of Round 3)

Martin Petre
Anthony Muscato
Ron Prinzen
Kyle Inman
Craig Brister
Carson Yee
Marc Maukonen
Unknown
G-Man
Tim Haslinger

Truggy

Abiye Birku
Andrew Phillipe
Cory Pulliam
Carl Blazer
Gareth Houben
Dave Henry
Mike Burr
Jordan Krupp
Mark Hopecraft
Matt Devries

Buggy

Dave Henry
Ben Wheeler
Matt Devries
Rick Endler
Gareth Houben
Abiye Birku
Brian Manchester
Jordan Krupp
Joe Parent
Andrew Phillipe

There has been some great racing and everyon should be proud of their placement. We will have photos uploaded in full tomorrow.

I will be posting the round 4 results but I don't anticipate that at this point the line up for tomorrow will change much with the final qual under the lights.

Ah yeah..

the 4th qual is still moving. I anticipate they will be done within 20-30 min.

I'm working on a quick night vid of some of tonights coverage. Hope to have it up within the hour.

We'll post up the results of round 4 when we're done... and if we're lucky I'll post up all of the qual information.

Cheers!

Well day one is quickly coming to an end. What a completely perfect race qualifying day.
Words can not adequetly do justice to the condition of this track. The Full Throttle team really out did themselves.

As I sit in a comfortable tent relaxing having concluded my racing thus far, I reflect on the star lit sky, hum of generators and nitro engines.. ahh yes... home!.

Today was a chart topper for more than one reason. To reiterate.. the track is perfect. Groomed soil, wide lanes and very well thought out!. The track was thought out to be more than just a place to go round and round. There is some serious technique at play here!.

To start a long and wide straight, 180 turn to a double and table top, 180 turn to the large rythym section (Triple and then a double if your lucky)
Equipped with a landing strip followed by a moguls 90 degree turn to another 90 right onto a small straight that leads to a banked tabled 180 turn. Another small straight and your into the curves and onto another smaller rythym section consisting f 6!!! moguls!! woo haa. then onto the straight.

But it got better. At the end of the second round a first... I heard words that I never thought I'd ever hear at a race venue!.. the RD approached us and
told us they were too far AHEAD of schedule and were going to take a 1 hour break for open practice.

But it got better!. Participants were going to be treated to a 100 lap endurance 1/4 scale oval race after the 3 qualifier!

But it got better!... racers were going to get a 4th qualifier under the lights. FTR's official Night Qual 2007!!!

Well we had to document that! Glorcs guys hit the dirt and documented a short video of all the fun.

No due to bandwidth issues this video may not have uploaded correctly and may not work properly but until I can put a better one up here is what we got!

(chickenman let me know if this plays ok for you...)

Lets get down to business!
After 4 rounds of qualifying!

Your TQ's are!

Buggy
Dave Henry

Truggy
Abiye Birku

Monster Truck
Martin Petre

I have to mention that FTR has completely updated the kitchen and all weekend we have been treated to hot food.. and very tasty food.

Looking forward to trying the HOT potato's at lunch!!!

The drivers meeting is completed and the group photo done. We had a concourse winner this morning.

The mains will be Z-C 15 min B 30min A 45 with the exception MT A which will be 30!

The mains are underway. Stay tuned for our next report.
